Jillian Kheel (professionally known as Jillian Johns) has been involved in the performing arts from an early age, training in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, and street funk. She also competed in figure skating during middle school, winning a state championship.
While attending college, Jillian was a member of the school's dance and gymnastics team. She traveled to Japan to perform at the Suntory College Basketball Tournament alongside teams from two other NCAA schools.
After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Journalism, Jillian moved to Los Angeles, where she worked as a department manager while studying acting at night. Performing under the professional name Jillian Johns, she appeared in television and cinema commercials, print advertising campaigns, and other media projects for a variety of national brands in the beauty, fitness, and consumer products industries.
Jillian later moved to New York, where she earned a master's degree in Theater Arts before returning to Los Angeles to pursue opportunities in television and film. She appeared in a network animated television series and starred as the female lead in We Married Margo. The film was an official selection of the Slamdance Film Festival and the HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado, where it received the Audience Award.
In addition to acting, Jillian studied television writing at UCLA and worked behind the scenes in network television writers' rooms. As a Writers' Room Assistant for Warner Bros. Television, she collaborated with showrunners and executive producers by incorporating script notes into teleplays and occasionally contributing ideas that were developed into episodes.
Jillian married Daniel Kheel in 2014 and now resides in New York City.
